Carcass have postponed their planned touring through Australia, New Zealand, China and India in light of a family emergency. The British death metal legends’ drummer Daniel Wilding is currently facing a “deeply upsetting family situation”, forcing the band to delay their plans. A statement issued tonight, September 02nd, by the band reads:
“We’re incredibly sorry to announce that we have decided to reschedule our upcoming “Putrefying Down Under” Australia / NZ tour along with our China and India dates.
Our drummer Dan is facing a deeply upsetting family situation, and his priority right now is being with his family. Out of respect for everyone involved, we won’t be sharing further details, but we hope our fans will understand that this is a situation where family has to come first and he simply cannot be so far away from home for so long.
We know how much people have been looking forward to these shows, and postponing them is not a decision we have taken lightly. We are working on rescheduled dates and will share further information as soon as we can.
For our fans in India, Bangalore Open Air will still go ahead as scheduled, and we sincerely encourage everyone to attend the festival, support the other bands performing and be part of what will still be an incredible day.

All existing tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, further information to follow.
