A trailer has newly been released for the upcoming documentary celebrating the life and legacy of late Rush drummer Neil Peart, ‘Neil Peart: No One’s Disciple‘. That doc is scheduled to premiere on September 23rd via CBC and will look back at the works and influence of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer, who was affectionally nicknamed ‘The Professor’.
Having worked with Rush in the past on the 2010 documentary ‘Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage‘, Banger Films assisted with the production of this new watch. Outside of fond memories and recollections of Peart, the doc also finds the Canadian prog rock outfit’s surviving members vocalist/bassist, etc. Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson taking part.
Avowed Peart fans and friends in Tool‘s Danny Carey, Red Hot Chili Peppers‘s Chad Smith, The Police‘s Stewart Copeland and Porcupine Tree‘s Gavin Harrison also got behind the drum kit for this new doc, jamming out Rush classics alongside Lee and Lifeson. Peart‘s current live replacement, Anika Nilles, also took part in this documentary as well.
